Sunday Morning Teams

GREETERS

When you first arrive at Trinity, you will be greeted by one of the members of the Greeters Team. Their role is to make people feel welcome, because at Trinity, everyone IS welcome!

Do you love to mix and mingle with people?  Do you know that you can make someone’s day just by saying hello or helping open a door?  When you are a front or side door greeter, you are the face of Trinity on a Sunday morning. You will be able to shake hands, hold the door, answer questions, and assist with the accessibility elevator if needed. For more information, contact info@trinitystreetsville.org.

CHECK-INS

The Check-In team at Trinity is there to help anyone coming in to Sunday service check in and get receive a name tag. They are a friendly group of individuals who assist people in using the check-in devices and ensure the overall check-in process works smoothly. This process also helps to manage the Kids Church Ministry, where we can better provide safe and efficient drop off and pick ups for our youngest members. For more information, contact info@trinitystreetsville.org.

WELCOME DESK

Central in the lobby you will find Trinity’s Welcome Desk. Welcoming one another - whether you have been with Trinity for years, or whether are new to Trinity, or new to the faith - is integral to our mission. Volunteers at the Welcome Desk are here to answer questions and help you get involved and connected. They are always ready to meet a new face, and offer friendly advice and point you in the right direction. For more information, contact info@trinitystreetsville.org.

PRAYER FLAG TEAM

Where two or more are gathered The Holy Spirit is present.  If you like to pray for and with others, you may enjoy being a part of our Prayer Team.  Our Prayer Teams work in pairs, and offer one-to-one prayers during the communion portion of the service.  Once you have received communion, you will head to the Prayer flag located at the back of the church (during Covid times it is located in the lobby to maintain social distancing) and pray for anyone who comes requesting pray.  You are free to take your time with anyone who shows up.   There is so much power in prayer! For more information, contact info@trinitystreetsville.org.

COUNTERS

At Trinity, our parishioners generously contribute their financial resources to the operations and mission of our church. The Counters at Trinity are detail-oriented people who can carefully count and organize our weekly collections. Each week, a group of dedicated volunteers gather to count and deposit the offering collected during weekend Service, which can include amounts donated by envelope, or collected electronically. Those with some basic number sense and a passion for stewardship would be ideally suited to join this team. For more information, contact info@trinitystreetsville.org.

CHANCEL GUILD

Have you ever wondered how the church is always so nicely set-up with the correct colours of the liturgical year? or the table prepared with the correct number of communion settings?  That is all done by the Chancel Guild (also called "Altar Guild" in some churches).  It is a traditional ministry working quietly behind the scenes. Among its duties, in the course of preparing the church for worship each week, the Guild ensures that the wine, water, and bread are ready for the Minister to serve; places candles on the table/altar; arranges flowers; orders supply; launders the fair linen; cares for Communion vessels and altar frontals.

These volunteers love the church, value tradition, and would love to expand their team and invite new faces to this important ministry. For more information, contact info@trinitystreetsville.org.

COFFEE HOUR TEAM

Each week after service, we have a great coffee hour complete with coffee, cookies, and other refreshments. The Coffee Hour team is there to prepare the coffee and refreshments as well as assist in the take-down and clean up. This volunteer role is perfect for anyone who would like to use and develop their gifts of serving and hospitality, as fellowship during the coffee hour is vital to the life of the church and its members. For more information, contact info@trinitystreetsville.org.

SUMMER BBQ TEAM (SEASONAL)

During summer months, Trinity hosts weekly Summer BBQs after the 10am service. This event helps us to connect outside in the nice weather, and enjoy good food and build and strengthen our community. This is a free event for all members of the church. Donations are welcome.

Are you a self-proclaimed grill master? We need you to join the Summer BBQ team! Team members will also assist with set up, food prep, take down and clean up. For more information, contact info@trinitystreetsville.org.
