Spiritual Exercises in a Post Modern World

Trinity Anglican Church, Streetsville offers a variety of courses and experiential opportunities to help people grow spiritually and deepen their faith.

Everyone, regardless of church affiliation, is warmly invited to take these courses.

Courses are free of charge unless otherwise noted. Advance sign-up is appreciated.

Basics: Trinity offers the following courses two or three times each per year. They are highly recommended for new Christians and “returning” Christians alike. Although not necessary, most people find taking the three courses in order over a year is a great entry into Christian life and ministry at Trinity.

• Christianity 101, a four-week course, is for anyone wanting to better understand the basics of the Christian faith whether for the first time, as a refresher, as candidates for marriage or as parents seeking baptism for their children. Topics include: The Biggest Questions of Life, Something’s Gone Wrong, What the Bible Says, This Thing Called Sin, Where Does Jesus Fit Into This, A New Direction for Life, Four Things God Does For You, and The Three Dimensions of Discipleship. Harold Percy delivers the inspiring teaching via video mixed with small-group discussion. Includes a 12-page notebook.
• Following Jesus: First Steps on the Way, a five-week course, is for any Christian wanting to learn how to follow Jesus. Led by Harold Percy, and based on his book of the same title, the course provides practical knowledge on how to get closer to God through scripture, prayer, worship, ministry, community, stewardship and the Holy Spirit. It is a natural follow up to Christianity 101.
• LifeKeys, an-11 hour workshop spread over two or more days or evenings, is designed to help you discover and affirm who you are, why you’re here and what you do best. Fun exercises help you look at yourself through five lenses—life gifts, spiritual gifts, personality, values and passions—to see how God has uniquely designed you for relationships, vocations and ministries. For people attending Trinity, the cost is $35 which includes workbook, meals and refreshments. For those not attending Trinity, the cost is $55. Please register at least two weeks in advance.
