OUR CORE VALUES

TRINITY MISSION STATEMENT

We are “a community of ordinary people learning to follow Jesus in our time”.

We want to help everyone who becomes a part of our faith community to enter into a joy filled relationship with Jesus Christ and to learn to live the Christian life with a sense of adventure and fulfilment. Everything we do at Trinity is designed to help us with this single overarching purpose.

KEY PURPOSES

1. To share the Good News of what God has done in Jesus with everyone that we possibly can.

2. To worship in such a way that people experience God’s presence and respond with adoration, praise and thanksgiving.

3. To bring people into a vital relationship with Jesus Christ and disciple them to wholeness and spiritual maturity.

4. To be an authentic Christian community in which we love and care for each other, and which provides a safe environment for learning to follow Jesus and experiencing God’s grace.

5. To serve our local community and beyond in the name of Jesus with ministries of mercy, compassion, and justice in order to relieve suffering and to bring glory to God.

6. To help other churches become more effective in their ministry of sharing and living the good News of Jesus.

OUR CORE VALUES

These core values reflect the kind of congregational culture that we value, the spirit in which we do things and the way we relate to one another. These values are so central to whom we are that when we violate them we feel deep remorse.

1. Gratitude

We seek to nurture a culture of gratitude. Gratitude to God for everything He has done for us, and gratitude to one another for the contributions each of us makes to help this ministry thrive. We do not want to take God or each other for granted

2. Grace

Our theology is centred on God’s grace, and our relationships with each other are gracious and grace-filled. If we err, we want to err on the side of grace.

3. Generosity

We believe that followers of Jesus are generous people: generous with their time, talents and money. We give freely and willingly in response to God’s generosity to us.

4. Gentleness

Gentleness is a Christian virtue and essential for developing authentic community. We want all our interactions to be characterized by gentleness and grace

5. Growth

We value spiritual growth as we seek to become more and more mature in our faith. We also value numerical growth, as we seek to reach out with the gospel and bring people to faith and discipleship. We seek to facilitate these two facets of growth in all our ministries
